3 Things Before You Submit To Article Directories

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

To all writers and non-writers out there, now is the time to start digging up those creative writing skills back.

With modern communication technology comes the popularity of information-based marketing, which is one of the oldest and most effective techniques in getting targeted prospects to sites and converting them into buyers. This is why article writing, submissions and publications are also getting popular.

There are already many tools that people can use to make the process of distributing their articles more easily. Though this is invaluable in getting the contents more exposure, which is only half of the story.

Let us take a look first at the common mistakes that some people make before submitting their contents to article directories:

  1. Confusing the reason to promote the articles with the reason to write them.

In article writing, there are three key benefits why you are promoting them; branding, lead generation and promotion, which are all part of your optimization efforts.
But there is only one reason why you write an article, and that is to inform your audience. If the article is not focused on this primary and most important purpose, it will fail to achieve the three promotion benefits because no one will be interested in reading them.
You need to figure out first how to get people to read what is in your article, then make them click on your resource box. You can achieve this by producing better contents.

2. Failing to maximize the promotional opportunities of article marketing.

You may know already that your articles can help you generate additional links back to your site. But do you know that you can get more visitors and better search engine results from that same articles?

Mention keywords at strategic places. Just be sure not to overdo them. Some are even using anchor texts which is also an effective method. But it is important to know that majority of the directories are not able to support this.

Remember that is not only about the links back to your site. Part of doing well in your article marketing is getting picked up by publishers with a large number of audiences and gaining the ability of leveraging other brands because of the quality of your work. Better search engine results also are great benefits.

But these things do not put much money in your pocket. There are other factors that can turn your article marketing efforts into an opportunity that can boost your earnings. Not just increase the number of visitors to your site.

Start out with a plan and see to it that your article will serve the function that you intended it to have.

3. Publishing content that does not help your readers.

Maybe in the process of writing articles, you are thinking that all that is you wanted is links back to your site. And any visitors it can generate are fine.

Guess what? Not all article banks and directories are going to accept your content automatically. Oftentimes, they have some guidelines and specifications on the articles that they are accepting.

You can double the number of sites you can submit to by writing articles that the directories want to share with other people. All it takes is one publisher with a hundred thousand readers to increase your potential audience overnight. Write the articles that publishers want in their publications if you want your article marketing to work the most effective way for you. This also means you have to obey the standard guidelines, spell checks, researching on a good topic and even hiring a writer to produce a good content on your behalf.

In the end, it is all really a matter of choice on your part. You can start getting a little exposure from increased links back but on a very basic level. Or enjoy massive exposure from a little extra time making quality contents. It will be your choice. You may not be aware of the fact that an article submitted on directories is not meant to have the same level of exposure as highly-targeted content ones geared on a narrow group of people.
Learn the difference between these two and it will surely help you know what kinds of articles to write and to submit.

The Project Management Method – Curse or Blessing

Spotlight Article!

Project management is an area of expertise that has undergone some significant development in the last decade. A business project can have a far-reaching effect on the business and result in either tremendous improvement in the businesses ability to function in the marketplace or a significant setback to that business entity.

The idea of a formalized project management approach has been around for quite some time. So it was not uncommon for any manager to find themselves learning the discipline of a structured project management system. That project methodology takes any given business or IT project through the same standardized steps from conception through implementation. Those steps would include…

  • Project definition
  • Needs analysis and requirements definition.
  • Cost benefit analysis.
  • Project scope.
  • Project schedule and budget.
  • Detailed specifications
  • Development
  • Testing
  • Training
  • Deployment

By utilizing a standardized process of doing all projects the same way, using the same reporting methods and tools, there is an economy of skills in that the project leaders and team members become adept at navigating these steps. Further, by using the same systems and criteria, a scale of evaluation as to the effectiveness of the system is developed so the ability of project teams to do well over time improves.

It was natural that this standardized method would become codified and finally developed into a well-developed system that could that molds all projects to a single standard. By developing an industry wide method that requires strict training and adherence to the same terms, tool sets and definitions of success, the “intuitive” nature of judging project effectiveness is reduced. And so “the Project Management Method” was developed whereby project managers can undergo strenuous and exacting training in a standardized method that would be enforced via certification across the whole of the business community.

Whether or not the PMM represents a curse or a blessing to the business world depends to a large extent on individual applications of the method and measurements and observations on whether the method itself introduces efficiency to the process of project management or just another layer of bureaucracy.
.

There are some strong positives to utilizing a methodology that is standardized at an industry level. Those project managers who have gone through the certification process can be depended on to implement that system the same way in each business setting. As such, the process of finding qualified project managers becomes simplified because the certification process alone communicates to the business that it can expect the PMM system to be implemented correctly.

By putting into place an external method of certification and measurement of excellence, the project manager career begins to take a high level of professionalism similar to in the legal and medical fields. So the PMM movement represents a maturing of the IT and project management disciplines as they move toward greater levels of accountability and control.

The dangers come in implementation of the PMM methodology on a project by project basis. In order for a PMM certified manager to live by his credentials, all projects must conform to a standard mold. The unique nature of each project may not easily fit into the PMM process of systematization.

In addition, the PMM system is heavily dependent on a large amount of meetings to document that the project is adhering to standards and a methodical documentation process from which there is little room for variation or accommodation. The PMM is a complex methodology so the tool sets that must be used to track the process can be expensive and difficult to use.

The outcome is that the introduction of the PMM system can cause the actual business objectives of the project to take on a secondary priority to the high standards of PMM itself. Project leaders working under the requirements of the PMM can become more accountable to the methodology itself and lose sight of what is good for the business or what is efficient in terms of getting the project completed.

There is very little room for creativity or individual judgment within the confines of the PMM and that is problematic because the nature of business problems have historically depended on the judgment and creative problem solving skills of middle management. By dominating the project process with the needs of the PMM methodology, excessive cost is introduced as well as cumbersome requirements that do not benefit the business or the project itself.

Building Your List with Give Away Ventures

With the awareness of the importance of list building, comes a recent Internet Marketing trend which was started just a couple of years ago for the mutual benefits of all Internet Marketers and mailing list owners.

This method is more recognized as a “starting a Give Away venture”.

In a real sense, a Give Away event is much like a big time version of ad swaps. In a nutshell, a group of mailing list owners partner together and pool in their individual gifts in one limited-time event.

Each participating partner contributes a gift to the event. The gift can be a free product, membership pass or a product he is already selling (if he is kind enough to offer into the event).

The participating partner prepares a Lead Capture Page where he gives the gift in exchange for the subscriber’s email address. In other words, in order for a visitor to download the digital gift, he must opt in and subscribe to your mailing list.

When the gifts are pooled together into one event (site), every partner will then endorse the Give Away event to their own mailing lists.

The result: lots of visitors to one event as a collective effort of several participating partners!

With so many visitors downloading gifts from one focused event, it is a true win-win situation. This is because the visitors get to download several free gifts for their own use and every partner gets to build their own mailing list!

You can easily get notified about a Give Away event in the making by communicating with other Internet Marketers often or participating in Internet Marketing discussion and Joint Venture boards.

Blogosphere And What It Can Do For You…

Blogosphere is the creation of John Reese and his team. I have been a serious follower of Johns for a couple of years now and when Income.com was first mentioned, I knew something good was coming for those of us playing the blog arena to drive traffic.

Before I get into that, I wanted to mention that our blog has taken on a cleaner look and feel. We modified the site just a little as to increase the stickiness of the site and also make it easier for you to navigate.

Let us know what you think!

Back to the blogrush that is upon us with the blogosphere. John set this system up to help drive traffic to even the new blog. I decided to check it out and as you can tell, I’ve since placed it on both the front page of the directory and also placed it over on the right.

The test is actually on a site I just created to help folks out with there Health and Fitness. I installed Wordpress onto the server and then went on to modify the code to accept blogosphere. I checked on the traffic and what do you know, I already began driving traffic to the blog! Its to bad the site is not up and running!

If you want to put blogosphere on your blog, all you have to do is click the tag at the bottom of the sphere and sign up.

Blogrush

The system is up and running right now, but John and the team are revamping the system to increase the value of the system.

Stay tuned to the future of Income.com as I’m sure John has some really cool stuff heading our way!

Gary

Article Marketing From R.A.D.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, Real Article Directory is RAD and it should be the first place you go to market your articles on the internet. As you know, Digin’ It is a huge success for those who are using it on a daily bases to promote there articles. I’ve had a massive surge in traffic to all the sites I’ve been promoting using RAD Diggin’ It!

Article marketing is still the hottest marketing system on the internet. I’ve since discovered that there are many ways to drive traffic to the site of your desire as long as you remain consistant in your marketing efforts. In this blog post, I will leave you with a list of what I do to market my articles and all the articles that show up within certain categories in Rea Article.

But before I do, I wanted to talk about some of the things I’m experiencing with article marketer’s. The biggest concern I have is with the marketer who thinks I don’t read the articles that pass through the admin area. In the beginning of my directory building days, I used a system of mass approval approach. Those days are long since gone and that is why the directory only has 6500 articles posted to the site.

The one thing I do not do is turn down articles that are not college level written. The reason for that is obvious. Article writing is conversational in nature and that sometimes means that an article doesn’t sound correct when read. What I have found is that many of my writers produce great content that you can use. Here in lies the problem:

Some of my writers are not primary english speakers! I approve articles on the content and not on the person writing it. If I did, I’d have to rename the directory - “English Speaking/Writing Directory”. That would mean I’d lose almost half of the writers who submit articles to the site.

Here is what you need to start doing when it comes to reading content on the net:

  1. Stop reading articles like you’d read a book and begin looking at what the writing is conveying to you.
  2. Read the entire article as it will have critical information you can use or it will lead you to the information you’re looking for.

Now thats out of the way, lets talk about some of the things that makes using Real Article your number one choice for submitting articles!

Real Article has many different ways in which you can advertise your articles and drive traffic to the products and services your representing. The following is a list of places your article can be used on:

There are many other sites that your article will go to as well just by webmasters using your content on there sites. We just like to give you an innitial boost of traffic by utilizing the above mentioned sites.

What you need to do is try us out and see for yourself! The first thing you can do is submit an article to the directory. Next, head over to RAD Diggin’ It and sign up to post a something catchy about the article. Submit that post to the news site and then head to this blog and make a comment right here on this post.

Once you make a comment on this post, it automatically updates the squidoo lens and that my friend will begin the innitial surge of traffic to your article which will then lead to your resource box and then to the site your promoting.

Give it a try and see what happens over the next 30 days with your article in Google mamoth search engine. How you check the search engine is actually very easy and nothing new:

Google Search Box: “The Title Of Your Article”

That’s it folks! By all means though, be sure to do this first and then begin your marketing efforts with all the other directories.

R.A.D. Diggin’ It! Update

RAD Diggin’ It! is Real Article Directory’s Digg style news site where article marketer’s can comment on articles as well as read updates on all the latest news. Some of the subjects are:

World & Business

Videos

Technology

Sports

Society & News

Science

Entertainment

These are the usual topics on most Web 2.0 sites that allow our readers to keep up to date on all the latest news. Now the difference between all the other sites and RAD is that we have additional topics for articles that are written and approved on the directory.

The following topics cover the world in which I live in and that is:

Article Marketing

Blogging

The benefits of the web 2.0 technology to the article marketers are many. If you write an article that is Buzz worthy, you can then begin the process of spreading the world throughout the Digg style sites to drive traffic to your site for more information. Currently, all other directories are only allowing there visitors to apply a link to the page via an RSS feed.

RAD will allow you to create a faster flow of traffic by utilizing RAD Diggin’ It!. How it works is you write an article and submit to the directory. In approximately 24 to 48 hours the article will be approved. Once the article is approved, you can then head over to RAD Diggin’ It! and add a story that links to the article. Once a story has been created, begin diggin’ it to keep it up in the standings.

Another thing you can do is you can go to other sites like Digg and Technorati and write a story as well. The traffic you’ll create will absolutely hammer your bandwidth as well as cause instant expert status on whatever topic your driving traffic too!

As the week goes by, there will be a link to each of the major topics on Real Article Directory for our article marketers. Webmaster’s, this will help you out as well! If you’re looking for content to place on your site, you can come on over to RealArticle.com and browse the articles. Once you find an article you like, grab that content and put it on your site. Once you have it on your site, head over to RAD Diggin’ It! and begin writing comments on the article as well as Digg It!

I think you’ll be amazed at just how much traffic you can drive to your site!

To Your Success,

Gary Marsh

Backend Cash Manuscript

Backend marketing is something that has gotten a lot of buzz
lately, but nobody has really explained how to implement this
strategy in a step-by-step system to get
high-profits….until now.

Randy Gilbert of “Best Seller Mentoring” applied the these
strategies outlined in Alex Nghiem’s Backend Cash Manuscript and
raised his prices by over 1000% and made hundreds of thousands dollars more.
Here is what Randy Gilbert had to say about what he learned in the Manuscript:

“Alex, I just wanted to share with you that these backend strategies dead-on because I have been able to raise my price by over 1000% and sell even more at the higher prices. I started with a $19.95 eBook and after much prodding, I raised the price to $97, then to $297 and I am now at $3,000+ per sale: this is over 150 times my original price! The amazing thing is: I am selling more at $3,000 than I ever did at $19.95 and I am getting better customers and testimonials. These strategies have added at least $100,000 to my business in the last year alone. I don’t know anybody else that is teaching this step-by-step system of converting low-end products to higher-end products. Now, each time I launch a product, I first design the backend before launching my front-end products because there’s where the REAL money is at! Thanks again, Alex, for sharing these strategies
with me and your fellow marketers!”
Randy Gilbert

Rateb Shukoor used these same strategies and sold over 25 copies of his first
product, a $1,000 home study course and plans on upselling these customers
into a $15,000 coaching program. Here’s what Rateb had to share:

“I applied the high-end product creation secrets that Alex is sharing in the Backend Cash Manuscript, and I quickly created and sold 25 copies of my $1,000 home study course. The amazing thing is that the $1,000 sales are front-end sales for my backend, a $15,000 coaching program. The coaching program is implemented using the same strategies as well. Get your hand on this Manuscript before Alex wakes up and realizes that he’s giving this away!Rateb Shukoor

You too can have the same results as Randy Gilbert and
Rateb Shukoor by implementing the tactics and strategies outlined in
Alex Nghiem’s Backend Cash Manuscript.
